Numbers

Number system is the most important tools in the world used to count,labeling,sequencing and coding and measuring purpose.

Types of Number system

• Natural Number :- Numbers that can be counted are called Natural numbers like 1,2,3,4,5,6…………….                                                            

                                   

• Whole Number :- Numbers that can be counted together with zero are called whole number. Example:-0,1,2,3,4,5…………..             

                                                                                     

• Even Number :-Even Numbers are the Numbers which are divided by 2 are called even number.Example 2,4,6,8,10,12…………….       

                                                                                                     

• Odd Number :- Odd Numbers are the Numbers which are not divided by 2 are called Odd numbers. Example:-1,3,5,7,9,11…….                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

• Prime number :- Numbers which are divisible by itself or 1 are called prime numbers.      Example :- 1,3,5,7,11,13………..                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

• Composite number :-Number which are greater than 1 and not prime are called Composite numbers.Example :- (4,6,8,9,10,12,14,15……….    )                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

• Co-prime number:- when the H.C.F of two natural number is 1 is called co-prime number    Example:-(2,3) (4,5) (7,9)…………..                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

• Rational Number :- The number which are in the form of p/q (p and q are integers) and q cannot be zero.Example (2/3), (4/5),……………….                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

• Irrational number :- The number which are not rational numbers and non- repeating form.    Example :- √3, √4……………………………                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

• Real Number :- Every natural,whole,integer,rational and every irrational number is a real number.
